Wheat Designs is a grassroots company that started providing website designs, internet and video production services in 2001. Client areas have included video production, hair braiding, law firms, pharmacies and custom costume design. A few years later, we branched in the video production when being hired by Local Motion Productions to produce their first DVD project: 2004 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
In 2005, Wheat Designs continued the partnership with Local Motion Productions to produce one of three sanctioned qualifying figure skating competitions webcasted for U.S. Figure Skating as a pilot program. The event was the only profitable webcast of the the three and Wheat Designs later consulted with US Figure Skating for future webcasting. Since that pilot program, this partnership has continued with the several other webcast productions including Broadmoor Open. In 2009, the scope expanded to include the 2009 U.S. Short Track Speedskating Championships. This expansion has continued with the production of the largest synchronized team figure skating competition, 2010 Dr. Richard Porter Synchronized Classic.
